Monday, September 28

Yes…it's true…CrossFit OTG has pushed me to my highest level of training and has gotten me in the best shape of my life just in time for my wedding! If you think you are in shape check out CrossFitOTG to kick your butt into high gear!!! Then, you’ll see how fit you are.

You have to be willing to push yourself and try harder during each W.O.D. (Workout of the Day). Each individual attending CrossFit OTG helps each other to reach our personal training goals. Mark, Nick, Justin and Bret are there to push us even harder. I know you will enjoy CrossFit OTG like I have. Who doesn't enjoy feeling better everyday like I do? Try it will love it!!!

Tuesday, September 22nd

I'm an exercise lover. Fitness is in my blood. It wouldn’t matter how much I ran, weight trained, took step class or spinning…nothing compares to CrossFit. It is always such a challenge. I LOVE IT. It is really a tough workout in the moment, but then I am reborn with energy and a feeling of accomplishment when it is over. It’s also been nice to meet others who are excited about physical challenges too.

I started CrossFit in July 09. After 3 months of CrossFit I could see I was getting the results I wanted. When I walk into class I never know what I’m getting into. Every W.O.D. (workout of the day) changes daily. During each workout I am timed, not to compete against anyone else but, when I come back to that particular work out, I can see how much I have improved. My endurance has doubled. My goal is to do my pull ups without using the assistance of the rubber band. I am determined. Come join us and see for yourself!

Tuesday, September 15th

Okay, I'm officially hooked :) Not that it takes all that much to get this Type-A Addictive personality hooked on something, but still…I'm convinced that CrossFit OTG is the BEST workout EVER! I started going three times a week in July & I thought I was in pretty decent shape, but man was I wrong …CrossFit members are all crazy - good crazy that is :) I've never done 15-20 minutes of exercise before, and felt that I'd done enough to "count" for my workout for the day.

This is a great way to get my cardio in and out of the way quickly while improving my core strength and muscle tone as well. CrossFit OTG - I can't thank you guys enough for introducing me to this AWESOME workout program!

Tuesday, September 8th

Over the weekend I turned my ankle at my house doing pull-ups…what a bummer. I went to CrossFit OTG on Monday (Labor Day) anyway because it was a special holiday class. Nick was able to modify the W.O.D. (Workout of the Day) so I could still get a workout in! I was slow and steady but felt much better about the Labor Day celebrating (eating & drinking) I had done.

Working out at CrossFit OTG has made it a lot easier doing the hobbies I enjoy (ex. running & kick boxing). The CrossFit workouts are high quality workouts in a short period of time that have increased my stamina and strength.

All of the CrossFit OTG team members have been friendly and supportive. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…I would recommend CrossFit OTG to anyone.

Monday, August 31st

It has been eight weeks of hard work …and fun! I got measured over the weekend. I lost a ½ an inch around my back, ½ inch off my waist and a ½ inch off my hips…WOOHOO!!! That is a huge difference for me.

I still have a long way to go before I am close to the fitness level that I would like to be, but I have no doubt that CrossFit OTG is going to get me there ten times as fast as I could on my own.

I have tried all forms of exercise from expensive gym memberships to really outrageously expensive personal trainers and nothing compares to CrossFit OTG. Not only do I trust the trainers but I enjoy the fellowship that comes with the package!!!

CrossFit OTG is changing my life. It has challenged areas in my body that I didn’t think I could tone. There are so many benefits to joining. Not only does it put your body to the ultimate test, it jump starts your day.

Tuesday, August 25th

This past weekend was all about the beach…I was concerned that I fell off the wagon. Just the opposite…My body repaired itself from all the hard work I had done all week. When it came time to take that run on Sunday night, I ran harder and felt lighter then ever! It was such a fantastic feeling…you can have a rest day and should.

I’m now realizing that CrossFit OTG focuses not only on your body, but the whole person. Little by little I’m starting to change my eating habits. I’ll catch myself thinking twice about that bag of chips, or that piece of pizza. It’s becoming a lifestyle change. JOIN CROSSFIT OTG YOU WON'T REGRET IT....I PROMISE!!!

Monday, August 17th

What an exciting week at CrossFit OTG. I’m growing stronger and I have more energy then ever…but even more exciting is my new teammates! Last week I worked out with Michelle from Margate. She helped push me through a tough workout.
All the members at CrossFit OTG are welcoming and encouraging. I am more motivated to go because I don't want to miss out on the fun!

I had tried everything from aerobics, to running, to kick boxing those pounds off…without success but CrossFit OTG is unlike anything else I have ever tried. The energy, excitement, endurance, results, and of course the compliments you receive are all worth it. This program has challenged me to be at my best.

I’m looking forward to getting my butt kicked this week and a slimmer body this weekend…

Monday, August 10th

Thanks to everyone that joined me at CrossFit OTG last Friday! We had such a great time meeting new people and raising funds for Alex’s Lemonade Stand.

I am making so much progress during my W.O.D’s (Work Out of the Day). My first workout took me 10:40. We repeated that work out on Friday and it took me 7:04. WOW…I cut over three minutes! It made my weekend.

When I started I was extra nervous about what that evening was going to bring. Now I’m excited to see what the W.O.D. is going to be.

Tuesday, August 4th

The new CrossFit OTG is open in EHT…and it is a beautiful workout facility!

Over the last week I have been introduced to many different core strengthening exercises and my belly is getting stronger and my waist is getting smaller. My fiancé has noticed that I look smaller and have more energy and my clothes fit me better!

I really look forward to each workout…but the best part is being a member of a team. My team is different every time I go and each team is made up of people with different fitness levels. Everyone encourages you to push and achieve a higher level of fitness.

I’m nervous as all heck as I drive to CrossFit OTG…New people, new atmosphere and a new fitness program…Not sure what to except.

Walking up to the fitness area, the first thing I notice is there are no machines…Just smiling people ready to welcome me. People of all ages and fitness levels.

My Coach’s name was Mark. He sat me down and got to know me and my prior fitness history. I could sum it up in four words or less for him…Step, kickboxing and treadmills. That was all about to change.

Today I went through foundations…I learned that proper technique is key to an effective fitness program. Today I learned the proper technique for:
~Push-up – I do girl push-ups
~Pull-up – I use a rubber band around the pull-up bar

I’m looking forward to my first workout!
